Katherine Kwei Spring/Summer 2012

It’s always a pleasure to see Katherine Kwei’s line evolve as the seasons pass. I love Kwei’s mix of complexity and simplicity: classic Chinese knots with a contemporary twist. Bright, punchy mixes of color and texture are always welcome, in addition to chain strap details. I’m looking forward to warm weather again with Katherina’s mix from the sizzling pewter clutches to the warm ivory bag.

If you’re in the mood for more, check out how Katherine’s brand has progressed here and here. With bags so good, my eyes are always peeled.

Loose Change:

  • Lacee Swan, an all around sweet gal and awesome illustrator. In the photo below, she’s working on a drawing of my friend Tineey.
  • And for something a wee bit meta, I’m holding up a sketch Lacee did of me in with my exact outfit. Huzzah!
  • Bloggers were invited to color in a key chain charm, so I made a “Lovecat”. (It’s the closet I’ll get to seeing the Cure this year!)
  • A cheesecake pop which is as delicious as it sounds.
