{ July 26, 2014 }

Asos dress; Swedish Hasbeens sandals; Firmoo glasses (tortoise shell); Mini Mini Market sunglasses;  Sephora hair clip; Vera Meat necklace.

Who needs a reason to get dressed up? Not me. I went a little 1960s with this black and white number, which is a perfect compliment to the Rockabilly Luau show in Bushwick. I’m in love with that duck street art, and the Swedish Hasbeens ain’t too bad, either.

Outfit // Wings On My Ankles

{ July 24, 2014 }

Alexander Wang dress; Ancient Greek Sandals; H&M collar necklace.

I’m half Greek, which means that I’m automatically sold on anything mythology inspired. Angel wings at my ankles like Hermes? Absolutely. There’s no reason not to feel otherworldly.

Outfit // LBD + Vera Meat Cat Purse

{ July 19, 2014 }

BCBGeneration dress; Sam Edelman sandals; Verameat cross body bag; Tiffany necklace; Forever 21 sunglasses.

A little black dress in summer is all I need. I’m so in love with this Vera Meat cat purse that I’m afraid of wearing it to tatters, since I use it so often!

Outfit // White Tee + Black Shorts

{ July 25, 2014 }

Forever 21 tee shirt; Dorothy Perkins shorts; Modcloth heels.

Casual Friday at it’s best. A crisp white tee, black cut offs and probably some of the most comfortable heeled sandals.

Photo Diary // Cherry Blossoms & Brooklyn

I finally unpacked my SLR and totally remembered back in May that I saw the breath taking cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Even though it was bustling with people — the first true lovely Spring weekend — it was such a peaceful and meditative experience to walk through the gardens.

Outfit // Killer Colors

{ June 10, 2014 }

H&M motorcycle jacket; ICB dress; Modcloth heels.

Whew! It’s been a crazy month — hence the sporadic and late posts. What’s happened? I moved to a new kick ass apartment in Brooklyn, finished up a long but eventful year teaching 9th and 12th grade, and somehow managed to sneak some fun in here and there amongst the chaos. All while wearing this dress fit for a superhero.

Photos snapped by my main bestie, Christine, on my iPhone because who knows where my SLR is until I unearth all of these boxes.

Outfit // Floral Print Dress

{ May 10, 2014 }

Thrifted Crossroads dress; Vera Meart cat cross body purse; Modcloth sandals; Mini minimarket sunnies.

I think we all need to agree that this cat purse is perfection. One of my favorite things about warm weather is feeling free. Just grabbing a printed dress, sunglasses, and a cute bag — and I’m off.

Little Flower

{ May 18, 2014 }

Phillip Lim for Target dress; H&M motorcycle jacket; LA Fenice sandals;
Anthropologie sunglasses.

Can we talk about how awesome this floral print Phillip Lim for Target dress is? I bought this dress on a whim and wore it once and never thought much of it. A few months later, I can’t get enough of it.

The pink hair? Don’t be fooled - it’s a Ricky’s hair extension. It’s so much fun to play around with other hair colors, without the commitment.

Touch of Mod

{ April 26, 2014 }

Asos dress; H&M motorcycle jacket; GC Shoes via Alter; Vera Meat cat bag; Mini Mini Market sunglasses.

Oh, the cat bag. Can we talk about this cat bag and how I’m seventeen kinds of infatuated love with it? Yes, I am. I love a good cross body: tiny and cute but magically holds all of the things I need for the day. Perfecto.

Secondly, I’m vibing all over these white collar and black dress combos lately. Maybe subconsciously, I just want to live inside a French New Wave film.

Weekend Casual

{ April 19, 2014}

Tobi shirt; H&M motorcycle jacket and jeans; Mini Mini Market sunglasses & bag; nOir ring; Forever 21 flats.

On warm days, I love to dash out the door with my favorite moto jacket and grab an iced tea from Ovenly and a sea salt chocolate chip cookies. Then, I wander over to Transmitter Park to do some people (and dog!) watching and stare dreamily at the skyline. Read a book, write a little poem, these are my favorite kinds of lazy weekend afternoons.
