This is a little bit of an oldie but a goodie. In an effort to mix up my love for black clothing, I tested out some metallic jeans. And honey, I am in love. Who doesn’t want to look like a backup dancer for Ziggy Stardust?

Wishlist Wednesday: Birthday Wish

It’s almost that time of the year again: my birthday. As a Leo and a lover of fashion, I tend to gravitate towards the luxe; though, not necessarily always the high priced. Here are some pretty baubles, dresses, and other keepsakes that I’m thinking of treating myself to this year. However, I’ll only be treating myself to one of these goodies!
- Dr. Martens Pascal Boot, $130
- Bois Nu Candle, $69
- Digby and Iona Pistols At Dawn Necklace, $190
- Tagada Graphic Tee shirt, $120
- Fire Walk With Me Necklace, $100
- Stolen Heart Dress, $80
- Fleur Noire Dress, $160
The new Doc Martens x Liberty London collection reminds me of 1990s grunge-y flower prints but with a twist. Little birds make everything sweeter without a lethal dose of overly saccharine. Personally, I would love to pair a casual little black dress with some of the bird-boots. An updated Reality Bites look, anyone? The boots and the small satchels are priced $230 each.
Doc Martens Does Hello Kitty

Okay, I totally admit it: once in a while I wish I was a teenager again. No, not for high school classes or tawdry proms. I want to get away with wearing these Doc Marten babies. Sanrio! On my shoes! Docs made the grade with the punky and sweet mix but still hard enough to pair with short skirts and a bad attitude. Or, could I get away with these as a somewhat cynical 25 year old? Give me your thoughts, dear readers.
$124.95 at Nordstrom.

I’m always looking for new ways/inspiration to wear Doc Martens. I swear, I’ll never, ever give up my pairs. I really like how this girl left some of the eyelets undone for a messay look, but not unkempt, either. The yellow bag and the red gingham scarf is a nice touch.
