Parker dress; Anthropologie belt; Name necklace c/o O Necklace; Forever 21 sandals; Harmons studs.

I like to mix high and low. I like to look at the past and the future. Like a tarot card.

A silky printed dress from Parker via a Barneys sale (many moons ago) with some sparkly drugstore studded earrings. Instant summer uniform.

Moving on… I may be dating myself here, but remember when name necklaces were the thingFor me, that was high school in 1999. Oh yes, my inner fourteen year old gets to be the jam. The trend resurgence is cute mixed with a little nostalgia.

P.S. Why the purple armband? I donated blood! You should, too

Dress: Forever 21
Crop Top: BCBGeneration
Sandals: Sam Edelman
Bag: c/o YakPak
Necklace: House of Harlow
Sunglasses: Anthropologie

Even though my outfit sensibilities can be a wee bit rebellious, I’m a sucker for classics with a twist. Black and white are perfect combinations for any wardrobe.

I thought I would be the last sucker on earth who would ever wear crop top, but here you go. Fashion can be surprising. I used to think the same about backpacks — as if I left them back in grade school. I’ve been coming around with a vintage leather one my mom gave me and now YakPak sent me a cool muted gray and black back pack to style.

Now here’s the real sweetener: you can win a YakPak of your own! You can go more classic with my style (hello Fast Times inspo) or get a little funky with bright colors and patterns. Details to enter and win are below. My giveaway will end on July 6, 2013. Good luck to all!

Lately, I am drawn to light prints like a moth to a flame.* The eye catching print always strikes me as “mellow futuristic.” Add a sleek ponytail into the mix, and there’s my outfit.

* While that simile may be on the more glamorous side, the reality of it is that I’m crazy for it like my dog’s obsession with anything bacon flavored.

Psst! Here’s a little sneak peek of a bangin’ Von Vonni dress I’m going to style…

Every Day Is Like Sunday

{ April 9, 2012 }

Jacket and Dress: Forever 21
Heels: Kat Maconie

Hello Sunday brunch outfit.

I’m usually not into “fast fashion” that much because the quality is usually thirty degrees below awful. Ironically, the pink blush dress I’m wearing has survived for over a year and not started to self destruct.

Oh, and that little dog? That’s Sophie, my boxer mix. She’s adorable but also completely fixated on a squirrel off the camera.

Outfit du Jour: You’re One of My Kind

When: December 01, 2010

Dress: Kensie
Stockings: Asos
Necklace: Shock Boutique
Jewelry: Various

Another day, another all black outfit. Sounds about right. Actually, I wore this get up to the Of a Kind launch party at the Thompson Hotel. Now, talk about fun - so many lovely people to meet and talk to. Oh yeah, and free drinks are swell, too.

P.S. Can I also talk about how I’m obsessed with those Asos trompe l’oeil heart-stocking tights? Um, yeah about that. I’m afraid I wear them too much and they’ll get runs.
