By now, none of y’all should be surprised to see me with red lips. It’s summer and I want to keep the makeup light and breezy but still have a little bit of flavor with my signature red pout. Red and gold are one of my favorite color combos, so here’s a staple look of mine.

On June 12th, I went downtown to a jewelry preview that was chock full of Stephanieisms — skulls, snakes, studs, gothy mermaids, mystical jewels. So my only choice was to vamp up my make up. And why not? It was definitely time to be saucy and sultry. One of the ways I up the drama factor is with some false eyelashes and these babies are only a $1 at Target. And they last! I buy the lashes in packs, for serious.

I admit it: I am completely captivated by the allure of red lipstick. It’s sultry, the sassy dose of sensuality, and all with a slight nod to mystery and temptation. Oh yeah, and it makes me feel foxy whenever I wear it. The amount of times I’m photographed wearing various shades of red lipstick is either awesome or embarrassing.
