Dream of the 90s

{ November 13, 2013 }

Forever 21 crop top; Crossroads dress; Marshall’s tights; Doc Martens boots, Zennioptical glasses; name necklace c/o Onecklace.

Because I never really let go of that 1990s floral-grunge look from my early teen years. I’m in love with my name plate necklace: one part pure kitsch, another part girly-girl.

Girl Friday

{ October 26, 2013 }

Oak & Olive blouse; Nasty Gal skirt & tights; Kate Spade Saturday boots; House of Harlow necklace, Firmoo glasses.

I never thought I would love flat ankle booties, but here I am eating my words like a fool. This is my perfect Saturday outfit: a fitted blouse with skater skirt and I’m ready for anything.

Boston: what’s in my bag

Oak & Olive blouse; H&M jeans; Zara flats; earrings from Costa Rica; Geoffrey Good diamond studs; MoMA bow ring; Snash square ring; Propeller coffee & croissaint; Zico coconut water; Resource natural spring water.

The other weekend, I went on a mini jaunt to Boston. Since I’ve never been to the city before, I could not wait to explore such a historic, wondrous place.

If I ever become a patron saint, it would have to be for “packing light” — an outfit that can serve double duty (wandering & drinks later) with some of my current favorite jewelry. Of course no road trip is complete without coffee, a croissant and much needed hydration.

Coffee & Bagels

I really try to savor the slowness of a Sunday morning. Bagels and coffee from Troost, provided with lovely conversation and people watching, is a new favorite. I really love my neighborhood and I can’t say how happy I am to live in Greenpoint. It’s the tops.

P.S. Some outfit details, of course: Forever 21 dress; Nordstrom Rack hoodie; tights probably from TJ Maxx; GC shoes motorcycle boots via Alter Brooklyn.

{ October 12, 2013 }

H&M motorcycle jacket & beanie; In Love With Fashion dress; Nordstrom Rack tights; Dolce Vita booties; Anthropologie sunglasses.

It’s safe to say that my love for motorcycle jackets will never die. A girl can never have too many, right? I thought so.

Short Skirt & Motorcycle Boots

{ September 28, 2013 }

Forever 21 dress; Marshalls tights; GC shoes motorcycle boots; Queen of Hearts & Modern Love sunglasses.

My fall uniform? A minidress, thick opaque black tights, and motorcycle boots. It’s a done deal.

Modern English

{ September 21, 2013 }

Dorothy Perkins blouse; H&M jeans; Dolce Vita boots; Urban Outfitters sunglasses.

Ah, mod. Nothing really beats feeling at ease in a great outfit. I’ve been developing a penchant towards all this mod lately, and let me tell you it feels so me. I feel comfortable, in a I-feel-like-myself sort of way.

NYFW // Spikes & Asymmetrical Hems

{ September 15, 2013 }

Gryphon leather jacket; Helmut Lang tank & skirt; wedges c/o Kmart, Swarovski ring.

My uniform consists of: studs, something slightly structured and asymmetrical. This Helmut Lang skirt has been a NYFW staple for me — comfortable, polished but cool.

Landscapes on my Clothes…

Today’s philosophical questions begs: “Why aren’t these Mary Katrantzou dresses in my life?”

Style Inspiration // Astrud Gilberto

I can’t get enough of Astrud Gilberto. Maybe I was wandering the earth too long without any bossanova music in my life. Whatever the reason may be, I love it and can’t get enough of it. Here’s an outfit I would love to wear come autumn, complete with thick black opaque tights. Nude nails, red lips, Chelsea boots, with a black and white striped dress. Oh, yes.
